China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmakers in Taiwan said on November 22nd that it is mulling to file an antidumping complaint on steel plates from Japan and India.
Last year, CSC submitted an applicant to accuse the steel plates imported from South Korea and India were dumped into the Taiwanese market with low prices. However, the submission was turned down by the Taiwanese government.
CSC pointed out that the imports of low-priced steel plates from Japan have increased substantially recently, threatening the local steel industry.
Affected by these factors, CSC has been forced to cut its list prices for steel plates for next January and February in order to gain order.
